John Albert Zumbrunnen  of Brighton; October 27, 2017; Age 70; born September 9, 1947 in Pontiac, MI. Son of the late Albert and Betty Zumbrunnen; devoted and loving husband of Rita Zumbrunnen; cherished father of Dennis Carlock (Julie), Jason Carlock (Tracey) and Shelley Meredith Hinson (Chris); proud grandfather of Lucas and Dominic Carlock, Miller, Megan and Andrew Carlock and Steven Hinson; step-son of Gladys Zumbrunnen; step-brother of Bill Howell (Bernice); also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and a world of friends. John was in the U.S. Army and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a member of ASPCA. A Celebration of John’s Life will be held Thursday, November 2, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home, Waterford. Interment with honors Great Lakes National Cemetery 2:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA or International Myeloma Foundation.

Thursday, November 2, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home, Waterford.

Interment with honors 2:30 p.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
